What is the format of the "Corvettes For Kids" Road Tour?
Registration for this year's event is at:
Tim Horton’s at 2525 Hyde Park Gate (between Winston Churchill Rd. and Hwy 403) in Mississauga at 8:30 a.m. Coffee, donuts, muffins and juice will be served as everyone welcomes the Corvettes and their owners as they arrive. Registration closes at 9:45 a.m. and the road tour leaves promptly at 10:00am.
We will travel along beautiful paved roads through the countryside until we reach our luncheon destination of Caledonia. The lunch break will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. During lunch, participants mingle with other Corvette owners and tour the park. After lunch, we will travel along more winding roads and make our way to Port Dover along the north shore of Lake Erie. Where we'll be able to take a walk along the beach after which we'll enjoy our dinner on the patio.
Please note that all food and beverages provided during registration, lunch and the dinner at the end of the day are included in your registration fee.
Who can participate in the "Corvettes For Kids" Road Tour?
The only requirement for participation is that you must be driving in a Corvette. You do not have to be the owner and more than one person can be in the car. However, only Corvettes may participate in this event.
Why would a Corvette owner want to participate in the "Corvettes For Kids" Road Tour?
There are many reasons to participate in this event (besides the fact that it is fun):
- First and foremost is to take some time to raise money for children who will appreciate your help.
- It is a great opportunity to get together with other Corvette owners and enjoy each other's company and cars. Many lasting friendships are formed during the CFKRT. It's a great way to swap stories with other Corvette enthusiasts.
- The route is very beautiful. There is something about driving with a group of Corvettes along county roads that makes your heart beat with joy. There are many vistas along the route where you can look forward or back and see a line of Corvettes sweeping through the countryside together, that makes the whole event very special.
- There are a number of great prizes to be won. It is our way to say thank
you for taking time to raise money for kids.
